Villa Della Rosa is bringing Tuscany back! Situated in the quaint area of Mt Tamborine where locals and visitors alike are enjoying some of the best wine and waterfall walks the Gold Coast has to offer.
As a Gold Coast local myself, I had never stayed in Mt Tamborine and was eager to enjoy a staycation at Villa Della Rosa! Especially with it’s Italian countryside charm, it really does allow locals to feel like they’re staying somewhere different and getting off the local grid a bit!
The first night there I journeyed with the owners to watch the sunset at one of the many stunning lookouts and allowed myself to be lulled into a relaxing state of “va-cay”
Afterwards, just incase I wasn’t quite in holiday mode, I enjoyed an excellent glass of local wine by the fire, cozying up on the furniture and engaging in fun conversation with the owners Mike and Martin.
Heading into winter, the rooms were nice and heated and the natural light shining in is quite warming as well. Every room has a bath to relax in and coffee/hot chocolate machine to ooze out some more cozy relaxation.
It’s a very relaxed vibe which begs you to unwind with every little detail.
Of course, the best feature is the breakfast out on the terrace. I’ve stayed at a few B&B’s before but Villa Della Rosa takes the breakfast side of things to a completely different level.
Mike mentioned, if a guest is staying, they wont eat the same breakfast twice! So you can kiss that continental cereal and toast buh-bye! During my stay I had delicious herb-scrambled breakfast medley and my fave – eggs benny with Mike’s own home-made hollandaise sauce!
In fact, most things you consume tend to be locally grown and produced, the veggie garden would have probably sent my mum over the edge with excitement! There’s a local bird who comes each morning for some breakfast as well on the window-sill which is too cute!
During my stay at Villa Della Rosa, I ventured out to the Witches Falls winery and the Cedar Creek falls for a nice rainforest walk to disconnect further and immerse myself in nature.
The gardens at Villa Della Rosa are also very therapeutic and picturesque. I could definitely see guests relaxing in the warmer months with a nice book and some tea!
All-in-all my stay was unbelievably pleasant, the location is great and close to all Mt Tamborine attractions, the breakfast takes the cake on being the best I’ve had at any B&B before, but the absolute best feature would have to be Mike and Martin for their genuine hospitality and welcoming, friendly nature!
