The Marsden Hotel is located in Parramatta, making it the perfect staycation or night-away when visiting any of the nearby parks and arenas for game nights and events!

So many Sydney locals don’t know about the prime location and toss up whether to drive, even go to the event or begrudgingly take several train changes back to the city at unreasonable hours. Why not make a weekend out of it?The rooms are fitted with all you need and a very modern black and white themed décor. The bed was extremely comfortable and the mini kitchenette made eating in or out seamless.

Located within walking distance to Westfield shopping centre, Parramatta park, the Arena and Church Street with some of the best eateries around, food ideas are definitely not limited!

The park is gorgeous and it was so nice to be able to stroll around in one of Sydney’s less busy parks and be able to enjoy the serenity and sit by the lake.Parking is always a nightmare in Sydney and although the Marsden themselves have limited availability they have a great deal with Westfield shopping centre down the street to be able to solve the issue of parking if you are a local driving.

The Marsden Hotel is also a great stop if you’re planning a trip to the Blue Mountains as it’s a much shorter and has a much easier access by bypassing the traffic of the city and giving you a straight shot to a must-see highlight when visiting Sydney.

It has to be said that The Marsden Hotel is impeccable when it comes to staff friendliness and attitude. I was fortunate to strike up some great conversations whilst taking advantage of the $20 wine and pizza deal at the bar and then the next day was able to “work-it-off” at their small but well-equipped gym in the basement level.

Being a new hotel, I can only see The Marsden Hotel improving as it continues on, but from a first impression it didn’t disappoint with a strong feature on staycations for locals and a diverse location for visitors wanting to see a different side to Sydney.
