Located in the heart of the CBD, just minutes from iconic Darling Harbour, sits Sydney’s darling itself, The Grace Hotel. I couldn’t think of a more appropriate name for this hotel as it’s very Victorian Era styling oozes Grace and class. A lot of Sydney is touched with beautiful, old townhouse lined streets and London look-a-like buildings boasting English charm, and the Grace Hotel is certainly no exception. I was incredibly grateful to be staying in one of their ’10room’ style signature suites. Each of the 10 are designed slightly differently and mine was beyond beautiful, lovely subtle art decorating the walls, the layout was very open-spaced and comfortable, the bathroom is HUGE! I dream of days when I have a bathroom bigger then my actual room back home! There was a nice coffee/tea area and also complimentary melting moment cookies – you sure know the way to a gals heart, Grace 😉It all got even better when a decadent fruit/cheese platter was sent up and I decided to throw myself my very own wine & cheese party with the comfy pillows on the floor of my room’s shag rug! Girls just wanna have fun right?!The next best thing about my suite was that it was located on the same level as the Rec level, easy access to the gym which overlooks the city’s high-rises and their indoor lap pool which opens up to the deck with slight views of the Harbour itself, so slight that they’re practically begging you to come and explore them more.
And why not? When you can literally SEE that its no more then a mere 5 minute walk away if that! Talk about location! I ended up walking everywhere that day from the hotel, to the Harbour, to the Harbour Bridge, to the Star Casino that night, the location is definitely a massive BONUS for sightseeing in the City! My absolute favourite thing about the Grace Hotel though has to be the staff. They were above & beyond friendly, from the minute we were checking in you could see the Concierge offering advice on sightseeing at the bag-check, the Duty Manager coming out to help the Front Desk with check-ins to lessen the wait for their guests, the wonderful service at the Grace Brasserie’s breakfast and just the friendly smile well received whenever waltzing in and out of the high-ceiling doors!
With restaurants located INSIDE the same building like Vapiano’s, along with Thai massage parlous that the Concierge can book for you, Darling Harbour at your footsteps and the QVB even closer, why wouldn’t you want to be swept off your feet by this charming Hotel? I can’t think of a single reason!
Much love & recommendation – to enjoy the charm & elegance for yourself visit
