DSC06842 (1024x576)DSC06820 (1024x576)DSC06835 (1024x576)Firrrrenze!!! Florence or even Florencia! Whichever way you wanna call it, it’s a beauty!! DSC06494 (1024x576)DSC06462 (1024x576)I had never stayed at a B&B until Florence and I hadn’t really anticipated what to expect, was just kind’ve going with the flow which I’m happy to say lead me to this hidden secret right on the Florence canals – The River Arno – it even has its own mini “waterfall” like in the city! Care for a dip?DSC06448 (1024x576)DSC06478 (1024x576)The bedrooms are so cute and historical, by this I mean literally designed in the 1600’s and have been interior decorated with a matched theme. The large windows allow so much light and a stunning view to DSC06467 (1024x576)The River Arno outside but the COOLEST feature is the loft style library above the bed putting this whole room together and giving it a unique touch! That, plus the complimentary lollies on the desk of course! Playing to my sweet tooth, I see you! DSC06517 (1024x576)DSC06512 (1024x585)DSC06498 (1024x576)I have to say, what might be cuter then the bedrooms are the two resident pups so excited to greet you on arrival – Daisy and Emilio who come bounding for hugs and plays across the giant garden which is accompanied with a swing!!! This is the perfect little summer house, you can even enjoy your complimentary breakfast in the garden during the warmer months!DSC06507 (1024x576)DSC06484 (1024x576)DSC06490 (1024x576)Although, we enjoyed ours in the warmth inside, the owner Claudio will cook it nice and hot right there and then for you, delicious eggs and sausage links, with all of your Italian faves like homemade bruschetta, stuffed olives, fresh breads, cheeses and meats including of course prosciutto! Hot coffee at the ready, fresh fruit and good old fashioned cereal! Definitely lived up to the name of Bed and BREAKFASTDSC06527 (1024x576)DSC06538 (1024x576)This is the perfect little summer house for hot months in Florence or cute winter nights staying cozy with a cottage like feel! There are grocery stores, pubs and bus stops into town close by (only 25mins by bus or 15min drive if you have a car – DSC06519 (1024x576)La Martellina has parking too) and just at the top of the street there is an amazing restaurant called “Malafemmmina” which La Martellina recommended themselves and we had quite literally one of the best Italian meals, I’m surprised I didn’t need to be rolled out of there – was beyond stuffed! DSC06472 (1024x576)Claudio is always cracking jokes and makes you feel really welcomed, the dogs are too adorable and the place itself is warm, cozy, large and decorated beautifully, definitely outdoes the common expectation of a B&B in style and appearance, without sacrificing the homely feel.
