ACCOMMODATION, INDIA

Nahargarh Ranthambore will blow you away

Out of all the hotels I stayed in India, I was most looking forward to Nahargarh Ranthambore and had been showing my friends and family before I even left Australia to the Philippines, because it looks like a castle/mansion/estate like wow! This is regal! I could practically be staying in the Taj Mahal itself.

Quite a lot of hotels in India are this opulent and it’s a very done thing that a well-established hotel looks so luxurious as Nahargarh Ranthambore did. My favourite feature of course is that multi-tiered level pool and the fabulous decorations.

We stayed in one of the best suites with the sunrise beaming in and the room space was to die for. We also were served a private breakfast on just one of the areas of our balcony seating.

Every evening the staff put on a buffet dinner with different themes each night and there is always traditional live music.

The grounds have its own Amphitheatre and garden area for weddings, and everything lights up at night. We enjoyed some wine at one of the three pools on offer at Nahargarh Ranthambore and enjoyed watching the dusk turn the already serene location into a lit-up oasis.

The only small issue I had was the size of the gym, I feel like it’s suitable for one person to use, but if another guest comes in, it’s a little tight and uncomfortable.

Ranthambore is typically a place go to enjoy a safari in the national park as it’s popular to see Tigers. Unfortunately, Nahargarh Ranthambore was all booked out so we opted for an outside provider for the tours which you can read about here.

I would suggest trying to pre-book your safari, I was told by the hotel that they couldn’t book it ahead for me, but when we spoke to some other guests they had gone via the hotel, so I can’t 100% advise you on that one. But if the main reason you’re visiting is for a Safari I would suggest booking ahead so that you don’t get stuck with any last-minute tours like we did.

All in all, I had a great time and visit to Nahargarh Ranthambore, Safari aside I think it’s a truly stunning place to stay with a lot of opulence surrounding their guests.
