EllBee Ganga View was my first resort in India to stay in and my first taste of Indian customs.

Situated in the prime location of Rishikesh, EllBee Ganga View was no less than a five-minute walk to the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat, with of course, stunning views from the room to overlook the Ganga.EllBee Ganga View had a bit of everything, there was a yoga room for people coming to Rishikesh for retreat purposes.A rooftop restaurant, with follows suit of the Rishikesh standards of pure vegetarian and no alcohol, so although these drinks look delicious, they were in fact alcohol free! My favourite feature of the restaurant was the hanging bamboo chair, just incase you want to swing while you wait for your meal!

There was also a 360 viewpoint of Rishikesh at the top of the resort, spanning out across the Ganga with views of the mountains and river.

When you first walk in there are two water features walking you into the reception area which is decorated with different types of teapots hanging from the roof and walls. There’s also a gift shop with intricate, traditional, Indian items as well.

One of the staff members lent me one of her lehengas for my mountain photoshoot which was so nice!

It was fun just dressing up in the hotel room as well with the female staff helping me, everyone was so friendly and sweet. EllBee Ganga View definitely had a very homely vibe and feeling from the staff to even the other guests staying. Everyone had very good energy. The rooms were so large, I felt like I needed three more people to be staying with me! But it was nice to have so much space and different areas for tea and relaxing. The bathrooms were so luxurious – and of course, pretty fun to photo shoot in LOL!The nicest was EllBee Ganga View taking me around Rishikesh, picking me up from the airport and organizing my taxi to the next location as well, it was nice how seamless everything was and that I didn’t have to worry about any organization – which is TRULY a holiday for me!

I would definitely recommend the resort for it’s location, friendly and helpful staff and traditional Rishikesh characteristics for people looking to retreat and enjoy healthy Vegetarian meals.
