WOW…. This. Was. Perfection. I don’t think anyone who has ever stayed at the Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort would have one thing to complain about, I don’t think you could have anything to complain about. It’s just not even possible. This resort was immaculate. But let me make you drool with how…
When we first arrive, Ms. Alisa, our resort tour guide, greets us with Anchan tea, made from the flower, which you can then wear as a garland around your wrist. Extra effort much? I’ll say! We then proceed to waltz through the glistening reception area into the heart of the resort. And it’s stunning! The lake pool cascades down towards the large guest infinity pool, which non-guests can come and use too, since it’s just so dreamy and can’t not be shared!
The day beds lining the pool area are all incredibly inviting and well-presented, there are cute booths set up with towels and refreshments at the ready and the space is just so open and clean. You definitely feel like you’re at the top.
We then make our way through the restaurant and I get my first look at what breakfast is going to look like tomorrow. Can I skip ahead to tomorrow? Or can I just eat and talk while we walk around? Cause this looks yummmmmmy!!!!
Ms. Alisa explains about their different dinner nights, every alternating day is BBQ with live DJ by the Pool Bar or Traditional “Thai Night” in The Pool House restaurant. Love me a good food theme! But, not to be missed, dinner with a view has got to be at The Sunset Restaurant. The special that night was Lobsters and Oysters….excuse me while I wipe the drool from my keyboard.
But, wait, there’s MORE! Just incase fancy shmancy doesn’t do it for you, you can have a classic pizza and beer night at their very own woodfire pizza oven! (Ok, it’s still fancy!) And they have a top Italian chef – just for you! Meet Alessandro – he has been a chef in Thailand at the Hyatt for just over a year now and before that was a Head Chef in China for three years. So wait, you excel in cooking Chinese, Italian and Thai? Some lady out there is going to be verrrrrrry lucky, and have a verrrrrry close relationship with her treadmill!!!
Leaving The Pool House restaurant feeling hungry, we continue our tour up to what I can say was juuuust slightly more drool-worthy then the restaurant. The Nahm Spa. Nahm, meaning water in Thai. Oh, I’m almost forgetting, we travel everywhere throughout the resort on buggy cart, I mean, walking….who needs it? Especially when you have 24-hour buggy service! So our buggy takes us up to the Spa.
I stopped taking pictures to try out all of the little testers that they have on display, sure, I need some eye-serum, oh and what’s this? Face moisturizing illuminator? It smells FANTASTIC, so yes. Just the treatment package descriptions looked great, pumpkin enzyme facial, aslimming massage….are you telling me, you have the power to make me appear slimmer without me having to move? Where has this place been all my life?! All 10 spa rooms have a stunning view, of course. And you can have a joint spa date for two with a loved one or relax solo with the lovely ladies ready to work their magic. There’s also activities…..so many activities! You can join the lovely spa therapists for things like Poolside Yoga in the morning, or Pilates in their fitness center and, you can even join in on a massage class! Something for the wives to gift to their hubbies maybe? Hint: It’s really a gift for you 😉
After leaving The Nahm Spa, we head over to the Regency Club. This is JUST for guests! It’s nice of the Hyatt to share their outstanding facilities with non-guests like their giant pool and restaurant. But this is exclusive just for YOU. It’s quiet and serene. You can get some work done or just relax in the private guest infinity pool over-looking the entire resort. Order room service for Lunch and have your coffee at the ready with a luxe espresso machine (and cookies) – available whenever you please! I’m just gonna take a wild guess here, but, I think they’ve done this before? I’m impressed!
Now it’s pretty handy that our room we are staying in is right next to The Regency Club, so we walk up, our bags are already in our room, of course. Ms. Alisa does a walkthrough explanation of our room facilities, including the safe, mini bar, complimentary beverages, bathroom, tv/cable and how and who to call if we need anything at all. I’m in love. It’s just so perfect. I can honestly say that, because I KNOW no one could ever have anything less than an amazing time here. Not possible.
After reviewing the resort, Ms. Alisa then takes us down for Lunch where we enjoy a traditional Thai meal with all the goods and cool off with some refreshing drinks and relax into the afternoon. After being utterly stuffed, we say our goodbye’s to the wonderful Ms. Alisa, who leaves with a comment of how lovely the resort looks lit up at night. We notice fairy lights decorating the trees as we walk towards the reception for our buggy service, well, there’s not a lot of times I’ll whip my camera out for nightshoots, but this was worth it. Just see for yourself…
Fun Fact: I used to do Singing competitions and Christmas Carols at the Hyatt Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast, Australia! So it was really interesting to see the differences between the two. They have still stayed true to the family brand, with the club and the 5-star presentation. But, they have really made this luxury fit with the Phuket, Thailand theme, it’s still very much a tropical beach resort and they definitely have incorporated the culture. I think it’s amazing when an established brand can be versatile to cater to their audience. And The Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort does just that ten-fold!
Please stay here! I want you to experience what I experienced because I want you to be as accommodationally satisfied as I was (don’t worry, accommodationally is DEFINITELY not a word) if for nothing more than the fact we can write to each other and swap stories…it will go something like this “Oh and how you just walk from the day bed into the infinity pool” “Yes, yes, or how good those crepes are for breakfast!” “Oh my godddd the ones that you can put Nutella spread and mixed berries on, yessss they’re so good, or how about the way the Spa smells when you walk in?” “Right?! What IS that smell? It’s AMAZING!” It is amazing. And you’re amazing. And you deserve a stay like this. You will get more than your $ worth staying at The Hyatt Regency Phuket. It’s worth it guys, I promise.
